Lately the library has become the "It" place to come after school. The afternoon crowd of students literally comes in the door in a wave. Including, but not limited to, kids running to get her first, some major red-faced huffing and puffing and the all to common shoving in front of each other. Needless to say, this is NOT the staff's favorite time to work the desk.
Today the kids had a half day. Translation: Crazy teens coming in early + our lunch bunch of regulars = CHAOS!
And guess who was the blessed person to work the desk at that time. Yup. Me.
During our large waiting list time, there was a guy who came in. I got him signed up on the waiting list and told him it would probably be close to a half an hour. At this point most normal people would check out the library, wander a bit and check back in later. Not this guy though. He sits down in one of our extra chairs and watches me. After 15 minutes had passed, a chair opened that was closer to the desk yours truly was sitting at. And guess who moved to the newly vacated chair. Yup. You guessed right. Thankfully a computer opened up for him soon after and I was freed of the constant heebeegeebee feeling.
Ironically this guy does not fit the profile of the every day creepy guy (trust me I know!) ... he was young and clean. And while, yes, he had cute taste in jeans, he still, never the less, creeped me out!
