I just had to post this adorable picture of Me and Hailey before we took a swim in the lake yesterday! She definitely is a water baby! Isn't she the cutest!?!

India Sendoff...

In just under two weeks, our team of AMAZING women will be heading out to India! And I wanted to let everyone know there is going to be a time of prayer and sendoff from GCC that morning, Sunday the 13th. If you would like to come to send us on our way, its at 1045 that morning. Even if you cant make it, please keep us in your prayers wherever you may be that day and throughout the 10 days to follow!

(I was going to include a picture of us in Saris, but unfortunately it isnt if you have myspace, check it out on my blog there!)

Lately my main focus has been on my upcoming trip to India - as most of you who spend anytime in my presence or chatting with me are quite aware of! Last night though something changed in my heart....

While singing God of Justice last night at church, India changed in my heart. It is no longer about me going, and what I am going to do there, and what I am going to learn from them. I realized I am not worthy of this honor - to head across the world to Be Jesus. For some reason God chose me, along with 6 other women, to go be examples of Him. To love people as He loves them. To be imitators of Him. And I feel so unworthy. Then came the line sung that hit even harder than the ones before "Fill us up, and send us out" and tears started to fill my eyes - something has changed inside of me. Suddenly I realized - its Jesus thats traveling to India. I'm just the vessel. I am one of the privileged.

Tug of War

Lately I feel as if there has been a tug of war going on around emotional tug of war...a spiritual tug of war...or perhaps, just a war. I find myself lately actually considering giving in on some of my values - the values I am trying to live my life by everyday - for stupid reasons. I recently found myself considering pushing one of my most important values to the wayside - for the sake of something that truly would not be worth it in the end. I found myself making excuses for why it would be okay - for how it would work out okay - starting to convince myself it would be. I knew I was making excuses, but I was starting to anyway. Then this morning just after a quick prayer (where I was thinking God wouldnt really be paying close attention --- dont underestimate God by the way) He reminded me of what I truly want, not what is temporarily distracting me - that would be leaving me wanting later or perhaps leaving me a crumpled up piece of what would be left of me.

God won that tug of war --with myself -- with the "dark" side -- with Satan

~Awesome Weekend!~

This weekend was one of the best I have had in a looong time...Friday started out with just some relaxing time by myself - which I gotta say was much needed! Then Saturday I went to Toledo, OH with Amber and Hailey Bean for Amber's step-families reunion which actually turned out to be a lot of fun! On the way home God really started speaking to both of us and laid someone on our hearts...I have a feeling amazing things are going to be happening soon...more on that later...

Yesterday had to have been one of the funnest days I have had in a long time...some friends all headed down to a lake in Milford to celebrate our adopted dads 50th birthday and we had some insane crazy lake fun! Short blip to give you a glimpse with more details and pictures to come --guys vs girls with the raft/float wars, water balloons, cake smearing fun! We girls did manage to hold our own on occasion! Injuries - a few - couple bruises myself - and tons of water swallowed! A good time was had by all!

Pictures to come...hehe...

The Drama of the Shots

Apparently when you travel to a third world country, you have to get a TON of shots to keep you last night I got the first round (and the most) of 4 arms hurt like no other - its a whole different kind of pain - I can't move my arms back - it was hard to get dressed, hard to drive, hard to do anything! AH! AND the Tetanus shot made me sick last night! Nothing like praying to the porcelain god to end a day!

Man I must love India...

The Good, the Bad and the Random

The Good -

I have gotten so much sleep this past weekend! I was really overdue for some lengthy zzzzzz time! I feel great - plus I had some ME time which I had kept putting on the back burner for too long. I have to admit, it felt kinda good to be able to say "no"

My dad and stepmom are going to be here in approx. 50 hours! I am so excited - yes I am a Daddy's girl - and I love being able to spend time with them! I think we are going to go "picking" Thursday - they want to pick sour cherries and I want to pick some black raspberries - sigh, my favorite!

Saw some awesome fireworks last night! And they ended with my all time favorite patriotic song - God Bless the USA...what an amazing night.

Heading to the beach tomorrow - ya! Sun here I come!

I have this afternoon off, tomorrow off, Wed. afternoon off and Thursday off - WOOHOO!!

The Bad -

One of my co-workers is sick, very sick...he has mono, Hepatitis in his liver and a bad case of strep...hes out for a few weeks! And we were short handed to start with...Get well soon!!

I have to get my first round of India shots on Thursday...I really dont like needles...good thing all of us women are going in together! I'll need the moral support!

I think I am getting sick - which is not an option...I have been bad though and havent taken Vitamin C regularly for the past few months...AH! I have chocked myself full of them the last two days though!

The Random -

Castrated Child Molester Wants Freedom...yes, believe it or not, the man had himself castrated! Are all you guys out there cringing at the thought!?!

Vengeful Women at its finest...yet somehow appealing...
